지난 2002년 인도네시아의 휴양지인 발리 섬 폭탄테러와 관련해 유죄판결을 받은 이슬람 극단주의자 3명에 대해 사형이 집행될 것이라고, 인도네시아 정부가 밝혔습니다.
인도네시아 법무부 대변인은 구체적인 날짜는 밝히지 않은채, 다음달 초 이들에 대한 총살형을 집행할 것이라고 말했습니다.
앞서 지난 21일, 인도네시아 법원은 테러범들에 대한 총살형이 헌법에 위배되지 않는다는 판결을 내렸습니다. 테러범들은 당초 이슬람 전통에 따라 교수형을 요청했었습니다.

Indonesian officials say they will execute three Islamic extremists convicted of the deadly 2002 terrorist bombings on the resort island of Bali.
A spokesman for the Indonesian attorney general's office (Jasman Pandjaitan) in Jakarta today (Friday) said the men will face a firing squad in early November. He did not give an exact date.
The execution of Amrozi Nurhasyim, Ali Gufron and Imam Samudra was cleared when a top Indonesia court ruled Tuesday that the nation's constitution does not prohibit death by firing squad. The trio had requested to be executed in a traditional Islamic-style beheading.
The convicted bombers have warned that there will be retaliation by other Islamist militants if they are executed. Australia has warned its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to Indonesia because of (what it calls) the "very high risk of terrorist attack."
