소말리아 해적들이 납치했던 태국 선박 1척과 승무원 25명 이상을 석방했습니다.
태국 언론과 소말리아 정부 관계자는 태국 선박과 그 승무원들이 2개월 동안 붙잡혀 있다가 18일 풀려났다고 전했습니다. 모든 승무원들의 건강 상태는 양호한 것으로 전해지고 있습니다.
선박과 승무원들의 석방에 대한 몸값이 지불됐는 지는 확실하지 밝혀지지 않았습니다. 사고의 선박은 지난 8월 12일 아덴 만에서 납치됐었습니다.
소말리아 해적에 납치된 선박의 수는 올 한 해 30척에 이릅니다.

Pirates in Somalia have released a
hijacked Thai cargo ship and its crew of at least 25 men.
Thai media and a Somali official say the ship was released on Saturday after
being held for nearly two months. Reports say all of the crew members are in
good health.
It is not clear whether a ransom was paid to release the vessel or the crew.
The ship was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden on August 12th.
Somali pirates have hijacked more than 30 ships this year.
The pirates are currently holding 11 vessels for ransom, including a Ukrainian
vessel carrying 33 tanks that was seized late last month. Pirates are demanding
a ransom of at least eight-million dollars for release of that ship.
