미국 노동부는 미국의 9월 소비자 물가가 에너지 비용의 하락 덕분에 전달에 비해 오르지 않았다고 발표했습니다.
노동부는 또다른 보고서에서 실업수당 신청자 수가 지난주에 줄어들었다고 발표했습니다. 그러나 지속적으로 실업수당을 신청하는 사람은 5년만의 최고 수준인 3백70만 명 이상으로 늘었다고 노동부는 밝혔습니다.
영국과 독일, 프랑스 등 유럽의 주요 증시도 개장초 5%이상 하락했지만, 미국 노동부의 발표가 있자 반등세를 보였습니다.

U.S. stock futures are moving higher, investors encouraged by government
reports showing that inflation remained flat in September and that initial
claims for unemployment benefits fell.
The U.S. Labor Department said today (Thursday)that consumer prices
were unchanged in September due in large part to falling energy costs.
Officials say, excluding food and energy, prices gained just one-tenth of one
percent.
A second Labor Department report said the number of Americans filing jobless
claims dropped last week. But officials say the total number of Americans
continuing to ask for unemployment benefits rose to more than
three-point-seven-million, the highest it has been in five years.
Europe's key markets in London, Frankfurt and France had been down more than
five percent at the start of their trading sessions, but pared their losses
after the U.S. reports were released.
