핵 검증 문제를 협의하기 위해 북한을 방문 중인 미국 국무부의 크리스토퍼 힐 차관보가 적어도 하루 더 북한에 머물 것이라고 한국의 정부 당국자가 밝혔습니다.
힐 차관보는 오늘 평양에서 김계관 외무성 부상과 이틀째 회의를 가졌습니다.
미국 정부 당국자들은 북한이 중국에 핵 검증 계획서를 제출하면 미국이 잠정적으로 북한을 테러지원국 지정에서 해제하는 방안을 힐 차관보가 북측에 제안할 것으로 예상된다고 밝혔습니다.

Officials in South Korea say U.S. nuclear envoy Christopher Hill will extend
his visit to North Korea for at least a third day as he tries to revive a
stalled deal for dismantling North Korea's nuclear program.
Hill conducted a second day of talks with his North Korean counterpart Kim Kye
Kwan today (Thursday) in Pyongyang.
North Korea accuses Washington of reneging on a commitment to remove Pyongyang
from the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism after North Korea made a
declaration of its nuclear holdings in June.
The United States says removing North Korea from the list is dependent on it
providing a plan to verify the nuclear declaration.
U.S. officials say Hill is expected to propose that North Korea be removed from
the terrorism list provisionally, if it gives a verification plan to China, its
closest ally.
