말레이시아 야당 지도자인 안와르 이브하힘 전 부총리는 압둘라 아마드 바다위 총리에 대한 불신임 표결을 위한 의회 특별회의 소집을 촉구했습니다.
안와르 전 부총리는 18일 기자회견에서, 특별회의가 23일 이전에 실시돼야 한다는 서한을 압둘라 총리에게 보냈다고 말했습니다.
말레이시아 의회는 현재 휴회 중이며 10월 중순 이후에야 다시 문을 엽니다.
안와르 전 부총리는 2백22석의 의회에서 정부에 대한 통제권을 획득할 수 있을만큼 충분한 지지를 확보하고 있다고 주장했습니다.

Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim has called for an emergency
parliamentary session to hold a no confidence vote against Prime Minister
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
Speaking at a news conference today (Thursday), Anwar said he sent a
letter to Mr. Abdullah asking that a session be held no later than Tuesday (September
23rd).
Parliament is currently in recess until mid-October.
Anwar says he has enough support in Malaysia's 222-seat parliament to win
control of the government. His opposition coalition controls 82 seats in the
legislature and needs the support of another 30 lawmakers to break the ruling
coalition's grip on power.
Anwar says he has the support, but claims he cannot reveal the lawmakers' names
until they vote. Mr. Abdullah dismisses Anwar's claims, calling them a
"mirage."
