이란 핵 문제와 관련한 교착상태는 유엔의 제재 강화로 해결되지 않을 것이라고 중국 정부가 밝혔습니다.
국제원자력기구는 15일 외부의 이란 핵활동조사를 가로막고 있다고 이란 정부를 비난했으며 이어 미국은 이란에 대한 추가제재 가능성을 제기했습니다. 프랑스도 16일 추가제재 입장을 밝혔습니다.
하지만 중국 외교부의 지앙 유 대변인은 16일 "제재 보다는 국제원자력기구와 이란이 대화에 나서는 것이 문제 해결에 도움이 될 것"이라고 강조했습니다.
한편 미국 국무부는 이란 핵 문제와 관련해 프랑스와, 영국, 중국, 러시아, 그리고 독일 대표가 참가하는 회담을 19일 개최할 예정이라고 말했습니다.
이란 상공회의소는 이란의 개혁성향의 사르마예 신문과의 인터뷰에서 유엔의 제재로 인해 이란 수출입품 가격이 상승하고 있다고 밝혔습니다.

The Chinese government says increased United Nations sanctions against Iran will not solve the stalemate regarding the country's nuclear program.U.S. officials raised the possibility of more sanctions Monday after the International Atomic Energy Agency accused Tehran of blocking the investigation into its nuclear activities. France today (Tuesday) said it would seek further sanctions.
But China's Foreign Ministry representative, Jiang Yu, said today dialogue between the IAEA and Iran would be a better way to resolve the issue.
The U.S. State Department said today it expects to host a meeting with representatives of France, Britain, China, Russia and Germany Friday on how best to proceed.
In related news, the head of Iran's chamber of commerce told a reformist Iranian newspaper that U.N. sanctions already placed on Tehran have caused the costs of Iranian imports and exports to rise.
