아프가니스탄에서 13일 원격 조종된 폭탄이 폭발해 동부 로가르 주의 주지사를 포함한 4명이 숨졌다고 아프간 당국자들이 밝혔습니다.
이 지역 무장단체인 탈레반은 13일 수도 카불에서 20km 떨어진 파그만 마을에서 이번 공격을 주모했다고 밝혔습니다. 이 공격으로 압둘라 워닥 로가르 주지사와 그의 운전사, 그리고 경호원 두명이 사망했습니다.
경찰 당국은 워닥 주지사 자택 인근에서 폭탄이 폭발했을 당시, 주지사는 차를 타고 출근하는 길이었다고 말했습니다. 경찰 당국은 또 이번 공격은 최근 발생한 워닥 주지사에 대한 두 번 째 암살 기도였다고 말했습니다.
하미드 카르자이 아프간 대통령은 성명서에서 이번 공격을 비난했습니다.
워닥 주지사는 하미드 카르자이 대통령 내각에서 장관을 역임했으며, 지난 2001년 미군의 아프간 침공 시 아프간 군을 지휘했었습니다.

Afghan police say a remote-controlled bomb has killed the governor of eastern Logar province and three others.
The Taliban claimed responsibility for today's(Saturday's) attack in
the town of Paghman, about 20 kilometers from Afghanistan's capital, Kabul. It
killed Governor Abdullah Wardak, his driver and two bodyguards.
A local police official (General Mustafa Khan) says Wardak was in his vehicle and on his way to work, when the bomb exploded near his home. Police say this was the second assassination attempt against the Logar governor in recent months.
In a written statement, Afghan President Hamid Karzai condemned today's attack.
Wardak was a cabinet minister in President Karzai's government and led Afghan forces alongside U.S. troops during the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001.
He is the second Afghan governor to be assassinated in recent years.
