러시아가 그루지아 사태와 관련해 북대서양조약기구, NATO를 비롯한 서방 기구들을 강력히 비난했습니다.
러시아 외무부는 NATO가 유엔과 국제법을 되풀이 드러내 놓고 무시해왔다며, NATO에게는 그루지아에 대한 러시아의 정책을 비난할 도덕적인 권리가 없다고 주장했습니다.
지난 27일 NATO는 그루지아에서 이탈한 압하지아와 남오세티야의 분리독립을 승인한 러시아의 결정을 비판하고 그 결정을 철회할 것을 요구했습니다. 러시아 외무부는 또 선진 주요 7개국, G7 역시 러시아의 결정을 비난한다고 지적했습니다.
한편, 29일 그루지아의 외무부 차관은 러시아와의 외교적 관계를 단절하겠다고 기자들에게 밝혔습니다.
서부 그루지아에서는 천명 이상의 시민들이 모여 자국내의 외국군 주둔에 항의했습니다.
시위자들은 저그디디시 코로스쿠 마을의 검문소 주변에서 러시아 군의 철수를 요구하는 구호를 외치며 깃발을 휘날렸습니다.
이달 초 남오세티아 자치공화국에서 그루지아 군을 퇴격한 러시아 군이 그루지아 곳곳에 도로 검문소를 설치한 이후 많은 그루지아 시민들은 시위에 참여하고 있습니다.

Russian officials have sharply criticized NATO and other Western institutions for their positions on the Georgian crisis.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman (Andrei Nesterenko) today (Friday) accused the alliance of having in recent years "repeatedly and demonstratively" ignored both the United Nations and international law. He said NATO has no moral right to criticize Russian policies.
On Wednesday, the alliance criticized Russia's decision to recognize the independence of Georgia's breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. It urged Moscow to reverse the action.
Russian diplomats also have accused the Group of Seven leading industrialized nations of being "biased" in condemning the Moscow decision. The Russians accuse the G-7 of justifying "Georgian acts of aggression." G-7 ministers said the Russian decision calls into question Moscow's "commitment to peace and security in the Caucasus."
In Tbilisi today, Georgia's Deputy Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze told reporters his country will cut diplomatic ties with Moscow.
