이스라엘은 팔레스타인 자치정부에 대한 선의의 표시로 다음 주 석방하게될 수감자 200여명의 명단을 확정했습니다.
여기에는 가장 저명한 수감자 2명이 포함돼있다고 이스라엘 당국이 밝혔습니다.
이번에 풀려나는 수감자들 중에는 폭탄공격에 개입해 무기징역형을 선고받아 32년간 복역한 사이드 알-아트바가 포함돼있습니다. 사이드 알-아트바는 이스라엘에서 가장 장기간 복역한 팔레스타인 수감자로 팔레스타인인들 사이에서는 우상으로 간주되고 있습니다.
이밖에도 지난 1980년 요르단 강 서안지구에서 이스라엘 정착민을 살해해 무기징역형을 받은 모하메드 아부 알리가 석방됩니다. 모하메드 아부 알리는 마무드 압바스 팔레스타인 자치정부 수반이 이끄는 파타당의 당원입니다.
이스라엘 내각은 지난 17일 수감자 석방을 승인했습니다.

Israel says two of the most prominent Palestinian prisoners are among the nearly 200 due to be released next week in a goodwill gesture toward the government of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Israel Prisons Authority says Said al-Atba, the longest-serving Palestinian prisoner held by Israel, is on the list. He has served 32 years of a life sentence for involvement in bombings and is widely seen by the Palestinian public as a symbol for all the prisoners.
The list also includes Mohammed Abu Ali, who was jailed for life in 1980 for killing an Israeli settler in the West Bank. He also serves as a lawmaker for Mr. Abbas' Fatah Party.
The Israeli Cabinet approved the prisoner release Sunday, making good on a plan first announced by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert earlier this month.
An Israeli government spokesman (Mark Regev)says the plan is a confidence-building measure aimed at strengthening peace talks between the two governments.
But Israeli opposition members criticized the decision, (with one parliament member, Aryeh Eldad,)calling the plan a "reward for terror."
