사르코지 대통령은 러시아와 그루지야간 공식 휴전을 촉구해 왔습니다.
사르코지 대통령은 오늘 러시아 지도부와 회동을 위해 모스크바를 방문중이며 이어 그루지야의 수도 츠빌리시에서 미하일 사카슈빌리 그루지야 대통령과 만날 예정입니다.
러시아는 어제 프랑스가 마련한 유엔안전보장이사회의 휴전 초안을 거부한 바 있습니다.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy has
welcomed an order to cease hostilities in Georgia given by Russian President
Dmitry Medvedev.
The French leader has called for an official cease-fire agreement to be
implemented.
Mr. Sarkozy is in Moscow today (Tuesday) for talks with the Russian
leader.
Following the visit, Mr. Sarkozy will travel to the Georgian capital, Tbilisi,
to meet this evening with President Mikheil Saakashvili.
On Monday, Russia rejected a French-drafted U.N. Security Council resolution
demanding a cease-fire in Georgia.
Monday's draft includes an immediate cease-fire between Russian and Georgian
forces, and a return of all troops to their positions before Georgia moved into
its South Ossetia breakaway province last week.
