미국 뉴욕에 본부를 둔 국제 인권단체인 휴먼라이츠인차이나(HRIC)는 지난 5월 발생한 쓰촨성 지진으로 붕괴된 학교의 사진을 인터넷에 올린 혐으로 한 중국 교사가 강제노동수용소에 수감됐다고 말했습니다.
이 단체는 사진을 인터넷에 올린 교사 리우 샤오군 씨는1년간 노동교화형을 선고 받았다고 말하고 그가 수감된 지난 6월 25일 부터 지금까지 가족과의 면회도 허용되지 않고 있다고 덧붙였습니다.
쓰촨성 더양시의 중학교 교사인 리우 씨는 지난5월 12일 지진이 발생한 후 지진 피해가 심각한 지역을 방문해 지진으로 무너진 학교들의 사진을 찍었습니다. 리우 씨는 학교 건물의 부실함에 대한 자신의 분노를 표하기 위해 이 사진들을 인터넷에 게재했습니다.
지난5월 중국 쓰촨성을 강타한 지진으로 7만명 가량의 사람들이 사망했으며 이 중 6천 명이 무너진 학교의 잔해에 깔려 사망한 어린이들인 것으로 추산되고 있습니다.

A human rights group says a Chinese teacher who posted pictures online of school buildings that collapsed in the May earthquake has been sent to a labor camp.
The New York-based group, Human Rights in China, says Liu Shaokun has been sentenced to a year of "re-education through labor." The group says Liu's family has not been allowed to see him since he was detained on June 25th.
The rights group says Liu (, a secondary school teacher in Sichuan's city of Deyang,)had traveled to areas in Sichuan province heavily damaged by the May 12th earthquake and took photographs of collapsed school buildings. He posted the pictures on the Internet to express his anger with the buildings' poor construction.
The earthquake killed nearly 70-thousand people. An estimated six-thousand of the victims were children trapped under the rubble of collapsed schools.
