캄보디아와 태국 두 나라 모두, 유네스코가 세계문화 유산으로 지정한 천년 역사의 국경사원 주변 지역에 대해 영유권을 주장하고 있으며 최근 이 지역에 군대를 파견했습니다.

The Thai diplomat's predecessor (Noppadon Pattama)was forced to resign
after backing Cambodia's bid to have an 11th century temple listed as a World
Heritage site.
Both countries claim the land surrounding the thousand-year-old temple, which
is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and both have sent troops to the
region.
Thailand agreed to the meeting after Cambodia postponed a complaint over the
border dispute that Phnom Penh brought to the U.N. Security Council.
