태국의 분스랑 니엄프라디트 최고사령관은 두 나라 군대가 현재 위치에 남아있을 것이나 무력충돌은 피할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
분스랑 사령관은 캄보디아의 테아 반 국방장관과 오늘 태국 동부 국경마을에서 만나, 9백년 역사의 힌두 사원을 둘러싼 4.6 킬로미터 길이의 국경지대 분쟁해결 방안을 논의했습니다.
두 나라는 이번 영토분쟁을 평화적으로 풀 용의가 있음을 밝혀왔습니다. 싱가포르에서 회담을 열고 있는 동남아시아 국가들도 두 나라에 자제를 촉구했습니다.

Thai officials say talks between Thailand and Cambodia have not yet resolved an ongoing border dispute that has put about four thousand troops on alert.
Thai Supreme Commander Boonsrang Niumpradit today (Monday)said troops from both countries will remain at their positions but will avoid any violent confrontation.
Boonsrang and Cambodian Defense Minister Tea Banh met earlier today in an eastern Thai border town.
The two sides discussed a dispute regarding four-point-six kilometers of land surrounding the 900-year-old Preah Vihear temple, which sits on the two countries' border.
Both countries have voiced willingness to peacefully resolve the territorial dispute.
Officials from Southeast Asian nations, meeting in Singapore, have urged Cambodia and Thailand to show restraint.
