중국 관영언론은 오늘 익명의 정부 관리의 말을 인용해 달라이 라마가 베이징 올림픽 방해 활동에 대한 반대 입장을 분명히 밝혀야 한다고 촉구했습니다.
이 정부 관리는 또한 달라이 라마가 폭동의 선동과 티벳 독립을 반대한다고 공식 선언해야 한다고 요구한 뒤 중국 당국과 달라이 라마간 대화의 창구는 늘 열려있다고 말한 것으로 전해졌습니다.
중국 관영언론은 이름이 밝혀지지 않은 이 관리가 중국과 티벳간 대화를 관장하는 통일전선공작부 당국자라고 소개했습니다.

A Chinese official has reiterated that talks with the Dalai Lama will make progress only if the Tibetan spiritual leader meets conditions.
Chinese state media quoted the unnamed official on Monday as saying that the Dalai Lama must oppose attempts to disrupt the upcoming Beijing Olympics.
The Chinese official says the spiritual leader must also declare opposition to violence and to Tibetan independence. The official also says "the door to talks with the Dalai Lama is always open."
Chinese state media say the official is a member of a Communist Party agency that oversees talks on Tibet (the United Front Work Department).
On Saturday, representatives of the Dalai Lama accused Chinese officials of lacking sincerity during the latest talks in Beijing last week.
