이 여성은 22일 디얄라 주 주도인 바쿠바에서 폭발물이 장착된 조끼를 입고 있다가 터뜨렸습니다. 테러 발생 지점 주변에는 정부 청사와 법원 등이 있어서, 삼엄한 경계가 이뤄지고 있었습니다.
이라크 당국은 최소한 7명의 경찰이 숨졌다고 밝혔습니다.
이라크에서는 최근 여성에 의한 자살폭탄공격이 증가하고 있습니다. 미군은 알카에다가 검문을 피하기 쉬운 여성을 충원하고 있다고 말했습니다.

Iraqi authorities say a female suicide bomber has blown herself up near a government compound north of Baghdad, killing at least 15 people and wounding 40 others.
The woman detonated her explosives vest in the Diyala province capital of Baquba today (Sunday), near a heavily guarded area that includes government offices and a courthouse.
Authorities say at least seven policemen were killed in the attack.
An increasing number of women have been carrying out suicide attacks in Iraq in recent months. The U.S. military says al-Qaida in Iraq has been recruiting women because it is easier for them to avoid security searches.
