유럽연합 EU의 고문은 팔레스타인 당국이 치안 유지를 위해 국제사회에 1억 8천 7백만 달러상당의 원조를 요청할 것이라고 말했습니다.
팔레스타인 경찰 훈련을 맡고 있는 EU 의 콜린 스미스 파견단 단장은 “구호 자금이 팔레스타인 경찰을 훈련하고, 경찰서 및 교도소, 법원과 법의학 실험실을 설립하는데 사용될 것”이라고 말했습니다.
스미스 단장은 자금의 상당부분은 이미 국제사회가 팔레스타인
당국에 약속한 70억 달러에서 충당될 것이라고 말했습니다.
팔레스타인의 추가 지원 자금 요청은 다음주 독일 베를린에서 열리는 국제안보회의에서 논의될 예정입니다.

A European Union adviser says the Palestinian Authority will ask international donors for 187 million dollars in aid to support security in the Palestinian territories.The head of the EU police training mission in Palestinian territories, Colin Smith, says the aid will go towards police training as well as the construction of police stations, prisons, courts and a forensics laboratory.
Smith says the bulk of the money will come from the more than seven billion dollars already pledged to the Palestinian Authority.
The request will be presented next week at an international security conference in Berlin (Germany).
