그리스 펠로포네스 지역의 비상대책반은 항구도시 파트라스와 몇몇 마을들에서 이번 지진으로 오래된 건물들이 파괴됐다고 전했습니다.
경찰은 카토 아차이아 마을에서 지붕이 붕괴돼 한명이 사망했으며 다른 한명은 심장마비로 사망했다고 밝혔습니다.
그리스의 지진학자들은 여진이 발생할 것으로 예상하면서 현지 주민들에게 진정해 줄 것과 당국자들의 지시를 따라줄 것을 촉구했습니다.

Emergency services in the Peloponnese region report damage to old buildings in the port city of Patras and in a number of villages.
Police say a roof collapse killed one person in the village of Kato Achaia, and one person died of a heart attack. Several people were injured by falling rock or from jumping off balconies in panic.
Greek seismologists expect aftershocks and they urged people to stay calm and follow the directions of the authorities.
