A team of Danish diplomats and technical staff has arrived in Pakistan's capital to work with police investigating Monday's suicide bombing outside Denmark's embassy.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammed Sadiq told reporters today (Thursday) the Danish team was meeting with police officials and assessing damage to the embassy building in Islamabad, but was not an investigation team.
On Wednesday, an al-Qaida group claimed responsibility for the suicide car bomb attack that killed at least six people and wounded more than 25 others.
An Internet statement signed by al-Qaida leader (in Afghanistan,) Mustafa Abu al-Yazeed said the attack was to avenge the publication in a Danish newspaper of cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad, deemed offensive to Muslims.
