2일 파키스탄 수도 이슬라마바드의 덴마크 대사관 밖에서 폭탄이 터져 적어도 8명이 숨지고 수십 명이 다쳤습니다.
파키스탄 관영 언론은 희생자 가운데 2명은 대사관 주재 경찰관이라고 보도했습니다.
목격자들에 따르면, 덴마크 대사관 정문 앞에 주차된 차가 폭발하면서 대사관 담장 일부와 검문소, 그리고 인근에 주차돼 있던 차량들이 파괴됐습니다. 길 건너편의 유엔 관련 건물 역시 심각하게 피해를 입었습니다.
이번 사건의 범인은 아직 밝혀지지 않았습니다.
덴마크 대사관들은 국내 신문들에 이슬람교의 마호메트 선지자가 폭탄으로 보이는 두건을 쓴 삽화가 재등장하면서, 테러 위협을 받아왔습니다.

A car bomb explosion outside Denmark's embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, has killed at least eight people and wounded dozens of others. Pakistani state-run news outlets say the dead include two policemen at the embassy.
Witnesses say a car parked just outside the embassy's gates exploded early this (Monday) afternoon. The blast tore through outer protective walls, demolished embassy security posts, and destroyed nearby vehicles. A United Nations-funded office across the street was seriously damaged. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Denmark has faced renewed terrorist threats since several Danish newspapers reprinted a caricature in February showing the Prophet Muhammad with a turban resembling a bomb.
Danish Foreign Minister Per Stig Moller immediately condemned today's attack. His counterpart, Pakistani Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, vowed to boost security around foreign missions.
U.S. President George Bush extended condolences to the victims and their families.
