북한이 핵 신고서 제출을 위한 준비를 거의 마무리했다고 북 핵 6자회담의 한국측 수석대표가 말했습니다. 김 숙 한반도평화교섭본부장은 오늘 (1일) 서울에서 기자들에게 미국과 북한이 북한의 핵 신고서 제출 날짜를 최종 조율중이라며 이같이 말했습니다.
김 본부장은 “굳이 따진다면 미국측이 시간이 더 필요”하고 북한은 거의 준비가 다 돼있다고”말했습니다. 김 본부장은 미국은 북한이 최근 제출한 1만 9천쪽에 달하는 핵 관련 자료에 대한 검토에 있어서 시간이 좀 더 필요한 것으로 이해하고 있다고 전했습니다.
김 본부장은 6자회담의 재개일정과 관련해, “6월 중에는 6자회담의 수순이 그동안 얘기해왔던 것처럼 진행될 수 있겠다”고 말했습니다.
김 본부장은 지난 달 30일 중국 베이징에서 6자회담의 북한측 수석대표인 김계관 외무성 부상과 회동했습니다. 북한은 당초 북 핵 10.3 합의에 따라 모든 핵 프로그램에 대한 신고서를 지난 해 말까지 제출하기로 약속했었습니다.

South Korea says North Korea has nearly completed preparations to declare its nuclear programs in return for economic aid and political concessions. South Korea's chief nuclear negotiator, Kim Sook, told reporters in Seoul today (Sunday) that Pyongyang is coordinating with Washington on when it will issue the long-delayed declaration.
Kim said the United States needs time to view the latest material, referring to 18 thousand-500 pages of nuclear records Pyongyang handed over to Washington last month.
Kim made his comments today after meeting last week with his U.S. and North Korean counterparts in Beijing. U.S. officials have yet to comment on the latest development.
The North pledged to complete a declaration of all its nuclear programs by the end of last year, but Washington and Seoul say the list was incomplete.
