이라크의 누리 알 말라키 총리는 수십만 명의 이라크 난민들의 귀국을 독려하는 계획이 진행되고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
말라키 총리는 어제 스웨덴에서 유엔이 지원하는 이라크 재건 국제회의에 참석한데 이어, 오늘 스웨덴 관리들과 만나 유럽과 다른여러 지역에서 망명을 신청한 이라크 국민들의 귀국을 유도하기 위해 이라크 정부가 예산을 따로 배정했다고 밝혔습니다.
스웨덴 정부는 지난 5년 동안 4만 명 이상의 이라크 난민들을 받아들였다고 밝히고 있습니다.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki says plans are in the works to encourage tens of thousands of refugees to return home.
Mr. Maliki met with Swedish officials today (Friday), one day after a UN-backed conference in Stockholm on rebuilding Iraq.
He said the Iraqi government has earmarked funds as part of an effort to make Iraq more attractive to citizens who sought asylum in Europe and elsewhere.
Sweden says it has taken in more than 40-thousand Iraqis over the last five years.
Meanwhile, U.S.-led forces in Iraq say they have made more gains in their battle against al-Qaida in Iraq.
A spokesman says forces killed a suspected al-Qaida arms dealer and captured three key members of al-Qaida's bombing network in a series of operations across the country today.
