네팔 당국은 이 같은 통보가 오늘 왕궁에 전달됐다고 밝혔습니다. 이틀 전 네팔 제헌의회는 2백39년 역사의 네팔 왕정을 폐지하기 위한 법안을 압도적인 표차로 통과시켰습니다.
네팔 당국은 어제 국왕이 즉각 왕궁을 떠날 것을 요구하는 시위대와 경찰의 충돌로 적어도 5명이 부상하자 왕궁 주변의 경계를 강화했습니다.

Nepal's government has formally ordered King Gyanendra to leave the royal palace within the next two weeks.
Officials say the order was delivered to the palace today (Friday), just two days after Nepal's Constituent Assembly voted overwhelmingly (560 to four) to abolish the 239-year-old monarchy.
Security around the palace has been increased after at least five people were injured when they clashed with police Thursday. Police used tear gas to disperse a crowd demanding that the former king leave immediately.
Government officials had gone to the palace earlier to take down the flag of the royal family and replace it with a national flag.
Lawmakers say the palace will be turned into a museum.
