파키스탄 마르단 마을의 한 군 기지 부근에서 자살 폭탄 공격으로 적어도 13명이 숨지고 18명이 다쳤다고 경찰이 밝혔습니다.
경찰은 자살폭탄공격대원이 푼잡 연대 사령부 정문과 한 제과점 사이에서 18일 폭발물을 터뜨렸다고 말했습니다.
사망자 가운데 적어도 4명은 병사들입니다.
마르단 마을은 파키스탄이 탈레반과 알-카에다와 연계된 무장분자들의 은신처인 것으로 간주하고 있는 노스웨스트 프론티어 지역 안에 위치하고 있습니다.
이번 공격은 파키스탄의 새 정부가 일부 무장 단체들과 평화 협정을 협상하려하는 가운데 발생했습니다.

Pakistani police say a suspected suicide bomber has killed at least 13 people and wounded 18 others near an army base in the town of Mardan.
Police say the bomber detonated his explosives (today, Sunday) between a bakery and the gate of the Punjab Regimental Center.
At least four of the dead were soldiers.
Mardan is in North West Frontier Province, an area of Pakistan considered a haven for militants with links to the Taliban and al-Qaida.
The attack came as Pakistan's new government tries to negotiate a peace deal with some militant groups.
