티베트의 정신적 지도자 달라이 라마의 특사단은 비록 중국측과의 견해차가 크기는 하지만 티베트 상황에 관해 중국과 추가 회담을 가질 용의가 있다고밝혔습니다.
티베트 망명정부의 투부텐 삼펠 대변인은 중국과 티베트 망명정부 양측이 지난 주 중국 남부도시 선전에서 가진 회담에서 구체적인 제안을 내놓았다고 ‘미국의 소리 방송’에 밝혔습니다.
삼펠 대변인은 이번 회담 분위기가 이전 회담들과는 달랐으며 중국 대표들이 중국의 통치 아래 있는 티베트인들의 우려 사안들을 다룰 뜻이 있는 것처럼 보였다고 말했습니다.
티베트 망명정부 특사단은 중국측과의 회담에서 중국 정부가 지난 3월 티베트의 반중국 항의 시위를 진압한 이후 구금하고 있는 인사들을 풀어주고 부상당한 사람들을 치료해줄 것을 요구했다고 삼펠 대변인은 덧붙였습니다.
티베트 망명정부측은 또 중국 정부가 티베트인들에게 실시하고 있는 이른바 ‘애국적 재교육’을 중단하고 외신기자들을 비롯한 방문자들이 티베트에 자유롭게 들어가도록 허용할 것을 촉구했다고 지아리 특사는 밝혔습니다.

Envoys for the Dalai Lama say China is willing to hold further talks about the situation in Tibet, despite major differences between the two sides.
A spokesman for the Tibet government-in-exile, Thubten Samphel, tells VOA that during the recent talks in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, each side made "concrete proposals."
Samphel says the mood at the talks was different from previous meetings and notes that China's representatives appeared willing to address concerns of Tibetans living under Chinese rule.
He says envoys of Tibet's exiled spiritual leader urged China to release people who have been detained since Beijing's harsh crackdown on anti-government protests in Tibet in March, and provide medical treatment for those who were injured.
