중국 4개 도시에서 1일, 국제적인 올림픽 성화봉송 방해와 중국의 티베트 탄압에 대한 시위들에 분노를 표출하는 시위가 벌어졌습니다.
중국 관영 신화통신은 후난성 주도인 창사를 비롯해 푸젠과 충칭, 선양에 있는 프랑스 대형소매점 까르푸 건물 밖에서 시위가 벌어졌다고 보도했습니다.
시위자들은 현수막을 들고 중국 국기를 흔들었습니다. 일부는 올림픽에 대한 지지를 촉구하고 티베트의 독립을 비판하는 구호를 외쳤습니다.
지난 달 프랑스 파리에서 베이징 올림픽 성화봉송 행사 당시에 친 티베트 시위대가 휠체어를 탄 중국 운동선수로부터 성화를 탈취하려고 시도한 이후, 까르푸는 중국 민족주의 열풍의 표적이 되고 있습니다.

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in four Chinese cities today (Thursday) to vent anger over the disruption of the international Olympic torch relay and protests over China's crackdown in Tibet.
China's official Xinhua news agency says demonstrations took place outside stores belonging to French retail giant Carrefour in Changsha, capital of the central province of Hunan, as well as in the cities of Fuzhou, Chongqing, and Shenyang.
Supporters carried banners and waved Chinese national flags. Some shouted slogans calling for support of the Olympics and denounced Tibetan independence.
Carrefour has been the target of Chinese nationalist fervor since last month's relay of the Beijing Olympic torch in Paris, when pro-Tibetan demonstrators tried to snatch the flame from a wheelchair-using Chinese athlete.
