이탈리아 정부는 에어프랑스-KLM 이 알리탈리아를 2억2천만 달러에 인수하겠다는 제안을 철회한 뒤 22일 알리탈리아에 대한 4억8천만 달러의 긴급 대출안을 승인했습니다.
알리탈리아는 높은 유류비와 노사 문제로 하루에 1백60만 달러의 적자를 내고 있습니다.

Incoming Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi says a group of Italian investors will soon be ready to rescue the struggling national airline, Alitalia.
He made the comments today (Wednesday) on Italian radio and said the unnamed investors -- including banks and aviation companies -- would make an offer to buy Alitalia in about four weeks. He also warned job cuts would be necessary.
The Italian government approved a 480-million dollar emergency loan for Alitalia Tuesday, after Air France-KLM withdrew a 220-million dollar offer for the airline.
Alitalia has been losing one-point-six million dollars a day because of high fuel prices and labor problems.
