U.S. President George Bush is hosting Jordan's King Abdullah and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas this week to discuss the Middle East peace process.
Mr. Bush held a private breakfast today (Wednesday) with King Abdullah, who has supported the Bush administration's effort to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict before the president's term ends early next year. King Abdullah later left the White House, making no comments to reporters.
Mr. Abbas is due to meet Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice later today. He meets Thursday with President Bush.
The Palestinian president recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to discuss a proposed peace conference to be hosted by the Kremlin.
Mr. Bush is set to visit the Middle East next month.
