한국에서 1년만에 조류독감이 다시 발생해 당국이 수십만 마리의 가금류에 대한 살처분에 들어갔습니다.
한국 정부는 전라북도 김제에서 인체에 치명적인 H5N1 조류독감 바이러스에 걸린 닭을 확인했다며, 인근지역의 닭 30만 마리의 살처분에 들어갔습니다.
당국은 조류독감 발생지역에서 반경 10 킬로미터 이내에 있는 모든 가금류를 이동시키지 못하도록 조치했습니다.

South Korea has begun slaughtering thousands of chickens following the country's first outbreak of a deadly strain of bird flu in more than a year.
South Korean agriculture officials said today they will cull 300,000 chickens. Officials confirmed Thursday that the outbreak of bird flu on a farm in Gimje, 260 kilometers south of the South Korean capital, was the deadly H5N1 strain of the virus.
Authorities have banned the movement of poultry within a 10km-radius of the site. South Korea's last H5N1 outbreak was reported in March of 2007.
The World Health Organization says 238 people around the world have died from bird flu since 2003. Indonesia reported two deaths last week, raising the country's confirmed death toll to 107.
