이 회담은 이라크 보안 상황에 대한 네번째 회담으로, 15일 바그다드에서 열릴 예정이었습니다.
미국과 이란 당국자들은 지난해 바그다드에서 세 번의 회의를 가진 뒤 양국간 27년간의 경색 분위기를 완화했습니다.
양측간 회담에는 라이언 크로커 이라크 주재 미국 대사와 하산 카제이 코미 이란 대사가 참석한 바 있습니다.

Tehran has not given a reason for the decision and no new date has been set.
The Associated Press news agency quotes U.S. embassy spokeswoman Mirembe Nantongo as saying it is increasingly clear that Iran is not ready to sit down for talks.
The meetings were scheduled to be in Baghdad on Friday. There were going to be the fourth round of talks on the security situation in Iraq.
U.S. and Iranian officials met three times in Baghdad last year, breaking a 27-year freeze in diplomatic contacts between the two sides. Two of those meetings involved U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker and his Iranian counterpart, Hassan Kazemi Qomi.
