무장괴한이 7일, 미국 미주리 주 세인트루이스 외곽의 커크우드 시 시의회에서 총기를 난사해 5명이 숨지고 2명이 총상을 입었습니다.
당국은 범인이 시 청사로 접근해 주차장에서 근무중이던 경관 1명을 쏴 숨지게 한 뒤 건물 안으로 진입했다고 밝혔습니다.

이번 사건은 시의회가 열린 직후에 발생했으며, 마이크 스워보다 시장도 범인의 총에 맞아 부상 당했습니다.

A gunman opened fire Thursday at a public meeting near (the midwestern U.S. city of) St. Louis, Missouri, killing five people and wounding two others before being fatally shot by police.
The shooting took place in the small city of Kirkwood.
Authorities say the gunman shot and killed a police officer outside Kirkwood's city hall, then burst into a city council meeting and opened fire.
Witnesses say the man, who lost a federal lawsuit against the city last month, was shouting "Shoot the mayor."
The gunman fatally shot another police officer and three people attending the meeting. He also wounded the city's mayor and a news reporter before police opened fire, killing him.
