러시아는 이란의 핵발전소용 연료를 일곱 번째 이란에 수송했습니다.
이란의 관영, IRNA 통신은 러시아가 공급하는 우라늄 연료 11톤이 이란 남부 부셰르 핵발전소에 26일 도착했다고 보도했습니다. 이로써 이란은 러시아가 공급하는 82톤의 우라늄 연료봉들 가운데 77톤을 인수했으며 나머지도 곧 받게 될 것이라고 이란 통신은 덧붙였습니다.
이란은 부셰르 핵발전소가 이르면 금년 중반에 가동되기를 원한다고 밝히고 있습니다.
Iran's official news agency says the country has received a seventh shipment of nuclear fuel from Russia for its first atomic power plant.
The Islamic Republic News Agency says the consignment of 11-tons of uranium fuel rods arrived at the Bushehr plant in southern Iran today (Saturday).
The report says the plant, which needs an initial supply of 82 tons of fuel, has so far received 77 tons and that the final shipment is expected soon.
Iran has said it wants the plant to begin operating as early as the middle of this year.
Russia and the United States have said the fuel shipments mean Iran has no need to enrich uranium on its own.
But Iran insists on continuing enrichment activities, arguing they are necessary for other planned nuclear reactors. Highly enriched uranium can be used in building a nuclear weapon.
