한편, 오딩가 측 '오렌지 민주 운동' 정당은 나이로비에서 이번 폭력 사태로 사망한 이들에 대한 추모식을 열 계획입니다. 이 정당은 24일 가두집회를 하기로 했으나 정당 관계자들은 아난 전 총장이 요청하면 이 집회를 취소할 계획을 시사했습니다.

Former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan will hold talks today (Wednesday) with Kenya's rival political factions in an attempt to end the bloody political crisis that has killed more than 650 people.
Annan will try to get President Mwai Kibaki and opposition leader Raila Odinga to come to an agreement to end the nearly month-long stalemate. The Ghanian diplomat says he has no solutions for the Kenyan crisis, but that he counts on the will, maturity, resourcefulness and judgment of Kenyan leaders.
Mr. Odinga's party, the Orange Democratic Movement, is scheduled to hold a memorial in Nairobi today to honor those killed in the violence. The ODM is also planning to hold street protests on Thursday, but party officials are suggesting they will cancel them if Annan asks.
