한편, 파키스탄 군은 18일 이후 남 와자리스탄 부족자치 지역에서 발생한 저항세력과의 충돌 중에 90명 이상의 저항분자들을 사살했다고 군 당국자들이 말했습니다.
Pakistani security officials are reported to have arrested a teenager allegedly linked to last month's assassination of former prime minister and opposition leader Benazir Bhutto.
News services quoted unnamed security officials as saying the 15-year-old boy (Aitezez Shah) was arrested in the northwestern city of Dera Ismail Khan late Thursday, when he was said to be preparing for a suicide attack at a Shi'ite mosque during Ashura observances.
The officials said the boy had confessed that he was part of a five-man team assigned to kill Ms. Bhutto, who was assassinated shortly after holding an election rally in Rawalpindi on December 27.
But an Interior Ministry spokesman in Islamabad (Jawed Iqbal Cheema) said he could not confirm the report.
In other news, military officials say troops have killed killed more than 90 insurgents during clashes in the tribal region of South Waziristan since Friday. The region is a stronghold for al-Qaida-linked militant leader Baitullah Mehsud, who the government says, was behind the assassination of Ms. Bhutto.
