중국은 최근 신장자치지역에서 발생한 조류독감으로 5천여마리의 가금류를 폐사처리했다고 밝혔습니다.
관영 신화통신은 4일, 보건당국이 신장 자치구 투르판 시에서 발생한 조류독감의 확산을 막기 위해 2만 9,000여마리의 가금류를 폐사처리했다고 밝혔습니다.
중국 정부는 지난 3일, 이 지역의 가금류들에서 인체에 치명적인 H5N1 바이러스가 발견됐다고 말했습니다.
이번 주 들어 방글라데시, 이스라엘, 베트남에서도 조류독감이 잇따라 발생했습니다.

Official Chinese news agency Xinhua reported today (Friday) that authorities killed 29-thousand birds to control the outbreak in the city of Turpan.
On Thursday, a government laboratory confirmed the presence in poultry of the deadly H5N1 strain of the virus.
Bird flu outbreaks were reported also this week in Bangladesh, Israel and Vietnam.
The World Health Organization says the virus has killed more than 200 people worldwide.
