무샤라프 대통령은 부토전총리 암살 직후, 사건 현장에서 중요한 증거를 인멸하려는 것으로 보이는, 혈흔과 파편들이 세척되고 있는 장면이 텔레비젼에서 방영된데 대해 언급했습니다. 무샤라프 대통령은 이것은 비능률을 보여주는 것으로 정부가 증거를 은폐하려고 하지 않는다는 것을 보여주는 하나의 사례라고 말했습니다.
부토 여사는 지난 달 27일 라왈핀디에서 선거유세중 총격과 자살폭탄 공격으로 사망했습니다.

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is denying accusations that the military and intelligence services were involved in the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
During a news conference today (Thursday) in Islamabad, Mr. Musharraf also said he is not fully satisfied with the probe into the opposition leader's death.
The Pakistani president referred to the fact that shortly after the attack, local television showed blood and debris being washed from the attack site. He said this was an example of inefficiency and not a government attempt to hide evidence.
Ms. Bhutto was killed last Thursday during a shooting and suicide blast at a political rally in Rawalpindi.
President Musharraf also said today (Thursday) that he repeatedly warned Ms. Bhutto and her party about threats against her life. He also denied allegations of a security lapse, saying Ms. Bhutto was given a full security detail. He said the opposition leader was partially responsible as she chose to greet supporters through her vehicle's sunroof.
