중국의 탄광은 광부들이 석탄 채취량을 늘리기 위해 작업을 감행하는 등 안전 기준이 종종 무시됨에 따라 세계에서 가장 위험한 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
중국에서는 하루에 평균 13명의 광부가 사고로 사망한 것으로 집계됐습니다.

China says an explosion in a northeastern coal mine has killed one miner and trapped 18 others.
The official Xinhua news agency said today (Sunday) that the blast occurred Saturday evening in a coal mine near Mudanjiang city in Heilongjiang province.
The agency said rescue work is ongoing in the privately-owned mine and authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
China's mines are among the most dangerous in the world, with safety standards often ignored as mine owners push production amid soaring demand for coal.
An average of 13 workers die every day in mining accidents.
