러시아와 이란은 13일 부쉐르에 이란의 첫 핵 발전소 건설을 예정대로 완공하기로 합의했습니다.
세르게이 쉬나코 러시아측 계약 대표는 이란과의 어려운 문제가 해결됐으며, 양측은 부쉐르 핵 발전소 건설 일정에 합의했다며 이같이 밝혔습니다.
부쉐르 핵 발전소 건설은 그동안 일정이 연기돼 왔으며, 러시아 측은 이란이 건설대금을 내지 못했기 때문이라고 밝혀왔습니다. 그러나 이란은 러시아 측이 정치적 이유로 건설을 연기했다고 주장해 왔습니다.
한편, 존 사워 유엔주재 영국대사는 12일 세계 강대국들은 이란에 대한 제재결의안에 대해 연내 충분한 협의에 달하지 못할 것으로 본다고 말했습니다.
사워 대사는 이 날 이란 제재안에 대한 의견차가 크다며 영국과 프랑스, 독일, 미국은 이란에 대해 제재를 해야 한다는 입장인 반면, 러시아와 중국은 반대 입장이라고 밝혔습니다.
서방국들은 이란 정부가 우라늄 농축 활동을 지속하고, 핵 야욕을 갖고 있는 데 대해 더 강한 제재를 가해야 한다는 입장입니다.

The construction of the Bushehr plant has been dogged by delays, with Russia saying Iran is behind on payments. But Tehran believes Moscow delayed the work for political reasons.
On Wednesday, Britain's envoy to the U.N. said he does not think world powers will reach enough agreement to move forward with a new U.N. sanctions resolution against Iran over its nuclear program this year.
