당 관계자들은 9일 야당들간의 회담에서 총선 불참 협약과 관련해 합의가 이루어지지 않자 이같은 결정을 발표했습니다.
샤리프 전 총리 당과 베나지르 부토 전 총리당은 내년 1월 8일로 예정된 총선에 대한 공동 불참 문제를 논의하기 위한 회담을 가져왔습니다.
한편 파키스탄의 페르베즈 무샤라프 대통령은 9일 미국 CNN과의 회견에서, 앞서 발표했던 날짜 보다 하루가 빠른 오는 15일에 국가비상사태를 해제할 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

The party of former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided to take part in next month's elections.
Party officials announced the decision today (Sunday) after opposition parties failed to agree on the terms of an election boycott pact.
Mr. Sharif's party and the party of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto had been in talks to mount a joint boycott of the January eighth elections.
But officials from Mr. Sharif's party said today the opposition failed to reach a consensus on conditions for the government to meet to prevent a boycott.
Also today, the U.S. television network CNN aired an interview with President Pervez Musharraf in which he said he would lift emergency rule on December 15th - a day earlier than previously announced.
