니콜라 사르코지 프랑스 대통령의 연금 개혁안에 항의하기 위해 지난 9일동안 프랑스의 교통을 마비시켰던 파업사태가 사실상 타결됐습니다.
프랑스 관계자들은 23일, 노조원들의 현업 복귀가 늘어나는 가운데 앞으로 며칠안에 철도 업무가 더욱 개선될 것으로 예상한다고 밝혔습니다. 파리의 대중교통기관인 RATP는 23일중으로 지하철의 7%, 시내버스의 75%의 운행이 회복될 것이라고 말했습니다.
사르코지 대통령은, 연금개혁을 예정대로 추진해 나가겠다는 결의를 재확인했습니다. 이 개혁안은 모든 다른 업종들에서 요구되는 40년 근무보다 앞당겨 37년 6개월 근무한 후 퇴직이 허용되는 사람들의 퇴직연금을 삭감하는 내용으로 돼 있습니다.
한편 당국은 파리의 소르본느대학교에서 시위학생들이 입구를 봉쇄하고 강의실로 들어가려는 학생들과 충돌한 후, 오는 26일까지 모든 강의를 휴강시켰습니다.

Most French transport workers are returning to work after their unions voted to end a crippling nine-day strike to protest President Nicolas Sarkozy's pension reform plans.
French officials say they expect rail service to improve over the coming days as more employees start working. Paris public transport system RATP said 70 percent of the city's subway trains and 75 percent of city buses are expected to run today (Friday).
Mr. Sarkozy today (Friday) reaffirmed his determination to pursue the reforms. The measures cut retirement benefits that allow some transit and safety workers to retire after 37-and-a-half years of service compared to the 40 years required of all others.
Meanwhile, authorities canceled all classes at the famed Sorbonne university in Paris until Monday after protesters, blocking entrances, clashed with students seeking to go to class.
