OPEC 정상회의에 앞서 16일 리야드에서 열린 각료회담에서 사우디 아라비아의 사우드 알-파이잘 외무장관은 OPEC 정상회의 선언에서 달러 약세에 대한 우려를 표명하는데 반대한다고 밝혔습니다. 파이잘 장관은 석유 거래가 주로 달러화로 결제되기 때문에 달러화 가치의 하락이 유가상승을 부채질 하게 될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.
이란과 베네수엘라는 OPEC 정상회의 선언에서 달러화 약세에 관해 언급하자고 압력을 가하고 있습니다.
