파키스탄 인민당의 세리 레흐만 대변인은 베나지르 부토 전 총리가 나와즈 샤리프 전 총리를 비롯해 다른 야당 지도자들과 무샤라프 대통령 축출을 위한 연합전선 구축에 대한 회담을 열고 있다고 밝혔습니다.
샤리프 전 총리는 '미국의 소리' 방송과의 인터뷰에서 대부분의 야당 지도자들이 구금돼 있어 야당들이 연합 전선을 구축하는 것이 어렵다고 밝혔습니다.

Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf is expected to appoint a caretaker government later today (Thursday), while opposition parties are trying to form a united front against him.
Today marks the end of the current parliament's term and the caretaker administration will organize national elections that General Musharraf has promised to hold by January ninth.
Opposition parties say a free and fair vote can not be held unless the president quickly lifts the emergency he declared nearly two weeks ago.
A spokeswoman for the Pakistan People's Party (Sherry Rehman) says former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is holding talks with other opposition politicians, including exiled former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, about forming an alliance to oust President Musharraf.
In an interview with VOA (Deewa Radio), Mr. Sharif said it is hard for the opposition to form a united front since most of its leaders are behind bars.
