이스라엘은 이란의 핵 무기 개발을 저지하기 위해 유엔이 이란에 새로운 제재를 가하도록 압력을 넣고 있습니다. 하지만 유엔안보리 이사국인 중국과 러시아는 앞서 그러한 제안에 반대 입장을 보였습니다.

Israel's foreign minister says China could play a crucial role in defusing the Iranian nuclear dispute because of its key place on the U.N. Security Council.
Tzipi Livni told an audience at a Beijing university today (Monday) that China and the international community should support tougher sanctions against Tehran.
Livni plans to meet her counterpart, Yang Jiechi, and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, before she departs Beijing Tuesday.
Israel is pushing for new U.N. sanctions on Iran to prevent it from developing a nuclear weapon. China and Russia - both permanent members on the U.N. Security Council with veto power - have opposed previous calls for tougher sanctions.
Iran denies it is developing nuclear weapons, and says it has a right to develop civilian nuclear power.
