아프가니스탄 남부 우루즈간 주에서 한 자살폭탄공격범이 폭탄 조끼를 잘못 건드려 폭발하면서 자신과 그의 가족 등 4명이 폭사했다고 아프간 내무부가 밝혔습니다.
아프간 내무부는 지난 14일에 일어난 이 폭발사고로 폭탄 공격범 외에 어머니와 누이, 그리고 11살 난 그의 남동생이 폭사했다고 말했습니다.
한편, 이날 카불 인근 와르다크 주에서 나토군이 순찰도중에 탈레반의 매복 기습공격을 받고 전투를 벌였다고 밝혔습니다.
나토군은 이 기습공격으로 10여명의 나토군병사들이 부상했다고 밝혔습니다.
아프간 경찰은 나토군의 요청에 의한 전투기의 공습으로 많은 민간인들이 사망했다고 말했지만, 나토군과 미군 관계자들은 민간인 사상자에 대한 보고를 받은 바 없다고 밝혔습니다.

The Afghan Interior Ministry reports a would-be suicide bomber killed himself and his family when his explosives vest blew up prematurely.
The ministry says aside from the bomber, his mother, sister and 11 year old brother died in Sunday's blast. It took place in Afghanistan's restive southern Uruzgan province.
Elsewhere, NATO troops battled Taleban militants in Wardak province near the capital, Kabul, after international troops came under fire during a patrol on Sunday. NATO says about a dozen of its troops were wounded during the ambush.
Afghan police report civilians were killed after air support was called in but NATO and U.S. military officials said they had no reports of civilian casualities.
