클린턴 전 대통령은 30일 미국 ABC-TV 방송과의 회견에서 힐라리 의원이 내년 11월 대통령에 당선될 경우 백악관에 두 명의 독자적인 정책 입안자가 있을 것으로 사람들이 생각하길 원치 않는다면서 힐라리가 정책 입안자면서 결정권을 갖게될 것이라고 말했습니다.
클린턴 전 대통령은 1967년 의회에서 통과된 법에 따라 부인의 내각에서 일할 수는 없을 것이라고 강조했습니다.
현재 뉴욕 주를 대표하는 힐라리 클린턴 상원 의원은 민주당 대선 후보 지명자들 가운데서 계속 선두를 지키고 있습니다.

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton says he will take whatever role wife Hillary wants him to take if she is elected president.
In an interview with ABC television aired today (Sunday), Mr. Clinton said he does not want people to think there would be two independent policy-makers in the White House if Mrs. Clinton wins the November 2008 election.
He said Mrs. Clinton would be, in his words, the policy-maker and decider.
Mr. Clinton noted that he could not serve in his wife's cabinet because of a law passed by Congress in 1967.
Mrs. Clinton, who currently represents New York state in the U.S. Senate, leads most polls in the race for the Democratic Party presidential nomination.
Asked who the Republican nominee will be, Mr. Clinton declined to make a prediction, saying all four leading candidates could still win.
