북한은 지난 18일부터 21일까지 내린 폭우로 농경지 10만9천여 정보가 물에 잠기고 1만4천여 가구와 8천여동의 공공건물이 파괴됐다고 24일 밝혔습니다.
북한은 이날 관영 '조선중앙통신'을 통해 '조선에서 지난 18일부터 21일까지 내린 태풍 12호로 의한 폭우로 인해 또다시 피해가 발생했다'며 '평양시와 황해남도, 황해북도, 평안남도를 비롯한 서해안 지방의 강수량은 250~470mm에 달하고, 특히 황해남도 은천군 469mm, 재령군에 446mm, 태탄군에 410mm, 평양시에 331 mm 등 많은 비가 내렸다'고 밝혔습니다.
조선중앙통신은 또 '지난 8월 파괴된 많은 구간의 도로들이 짧은 기간에 기본적으로 원상회복됐으나, 이번에 내린 무더기비로 인해 또다시 수십개소의 철길 노반이 유실되거나 침하되고 사태에 묻혔다'며 '90여개소의 다리와 도로의 구간들이 파괴됐다'고 보도했습니다.

North Korea says flooding caused by last week's typhoon (Wipha) has destroyed 14-thousand homes and 109-thousand hectares of crops.
The state news agency (KCNA) reported the damage today (Monday). It says the floods also destroyed or damaged eight thousand public buildings, and washed out roads, bridges and railways. The report did not mention any deaths or injuries.
Most of the heavy rains and flooding occurred in the southwestern part of the country, including the capital, Pyongyang.
Last month, severe flooding in North Korea left 600 people dead or missing, and displaced more than 100-thousand others.
