이스라엘 대법원은 요단강 서안지구에 이스라엘이 건설하고 있는 이스라엘과 팔레스타인 거주지를 분리하는 장벽의 일부분의 경로를 변경하도록 지시했습니다.

팔레스타인 거주민들과 이들의 지지자들은 현재 장벽의 경로가 빌린 마을을 관통해 논밭과 과수원 등에 접근할수 없게 된다고 주장해 왔습니다. 이들은 지난 2년 이상 매 금요일마다 장벽 건설 공사장 앞에서 시위를 벌여왔습니다.
이스라엘 정부는 분리 장벽의 경로는 유대인 정착민들을 보호하기 위해 필요하다며 빌린 마을을 관통하는 장벽의 일부 시공을 이미 끝냈습니다.
The Israeli Supreme Court has ordered the government to re-route a section of the West Bank separation barrier Israel is building.
The court today (Tuesday) ruled that planners must change the route of the barrier near the Palestinian village of Bilin so it causes less harm to the area's residents.
Palestinian villagers and their supporters have argued that the current route of the barrier, which runs through their village, kept them from their fields and orchards. They have protested at the construction site every Friday for than two years.
The Israeli government argued that the route was necessary to protect residents of a Jewish settlement (Modiin Illit) and completed the section of fence that cuts through the Palestinian village.
