그러나 일부 언론들은 이 병사들은 실제로 납치되지 않았으며, 날씨가 좋아지길 기다리고 있다고 보도했습니다.
해당 지역은 탈레반과 알카에다의 세력의 거점으로 알려져 있으며, 이들은 최근 몇 주 간 파키스탄 공안군 병력을 공격해왔습니다.

Pakistani authorities say they have sent tribal elders to negotiate with militants believed to be holding more than 100 soldiers in a remote area near the Afghan border.
Authorities say the soldiers were traveling in the South Waziristan region Thursday when bad weather forced them to stop and take shelter. Authorities believe militants then surrounded and captured the soldiers, and took them to several locations.
But some reports say the soldiers were never actually captured and are waiting out the weather.
The region is a known stronghold for Taleban and al-Qaida militants, who have carried out attacks on Pakistani security forces in recent weeks.
Rebels kidnapped 16 Pakistani soldiers two weeks ago, and later killed one of them.
