아프가니스탄 내 탈레반 무장단체에 의해 납치 구금된 한 독일 기술자가 도움을 호소하는 동영상이 23일 아프간 텔레비전에서 방영됐습니다.
아프간 민간 텔레비전에 방영된 이 동영상에서 독일인 인질은 깔개에 누워 기침을 하기도 했습니다. 그는 열악한 환경에서 살고 있다며 아프간 정부와 독일 대사관에 자신의 석방을 도와달라고 호소했습니다.
그는 지난달 아프간 카불 남서쪽 와르다크주에서 탈레반에 납치된 독일인 기술자 2명 가운데 한 사람입니다. 다른 독일인 기술자 한 명은 탈레반에 의해 살해됐습니다.
탈레반은 이와는 별도로 19명의 한국인 기독교 자원 봉사자들도 인질로 억류하고 있습니다.
A German engineer held hostage by Taleban militants in Afghanistan has appeared in a video appealing for help.
The video shown on private Afghan television today (Thursday) shows the hostage slumped over and coughing.
In the video, he says he is living in poor conditions and asked the Afghan government and German embassy to help secure his release.
The man was one of two German engineers and four Afghans kidnapped by the Taleban in central Afghanistan last month. The other German engineer was shot to death by his captors after he suffered a circulatory collapse due to the strain of the kidnapping.
The Taleban separately are holding a group of 19 South Korean Christian aid workers.
