미국 출신의 알-카에다 조직원이 미국의 외교관들과 재외 공관들을 공격할 것이라고 위협했습니다.
애담 가단은 인터넷에 올린 한 시간 여의 동영상을 통해 재외 공관들에 대해 미국과 미국의 동맹국들이 아프가니스탄과 이라크에서의 전쟁을 계획한 '스파이의 소굴'이라고 불렀습니다.
이 동영상의 진위 여부는 즉각 확인되지 않고 있으나 알-카에다 언론 제작 부서의 로고를 담고 있습니다.
아잠 알-암리키로도 통하고 있는 가단은 미국에서 반역죄로 기소된 인물입니다.
가단은 지난 5월에도 비데오 테이프에 출연해 조지 부시 대통령에게 모든 회교나라들에 대한 미국의 개입을 종식하지 않을 경우 2001년 9월 11일에 발생했던 미국에 대한 공격 보다 더 큰 공격에 직면할 것이라고 경고했습니다.

An American member of the al-Qaida terrorist network has threatened attacks on diplomats and embassies.
In a more than one-hour long video posted on the Internet, Adam Gadahn called diplomatic posts "spy dens" from which the United States and its allies planned the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
The authenticity of the video posting could not be immediately confirmed. But it carried the logo of al-Qaida's media production arm.
Gadahn, who also goes by the name Azzam al-Amriki, has been indicted in the U.S. for treason.
He last appeared in a video in May warning President Bush to end U.S. involvement in all Muslim countries or face attacks worse than the September 11th (2001) assault.
