아프가니스탄의 탈레반 무장세력이 수도 카불에서 전세버스를 이용해 남부 칸다하르 주로 가던 한국인 18명을 납치했습니다.
탈레반 대변인은 20일, 한국인 남성 15명과 여성 3명을 억류하고 있다고 밝혔습니다. 앞서 한국의 외교통상부는 19일, 아프가니스탄 내 무장세력에 의해 납치된 한국인이 21명이라고 밝힌 바 있습니다.
납치된 한국인 일행은 경기도 성남시 정자동 샘물교회 신도들인 것으로 확인됐습니다. 이 교회 배형규 목사 등 신도들은 지난 13일 현지에서의 봉사활동을 위해 아프간에 입국했으며, 칸다하르에 있는 힐라병원과 은혜샘유치원에서 협력봉사 활동을 벌인 뒤 23일 귀국할 예정이었습니다.
한편, 이날 남부 헬만드 주의 산간마을에서 한 자살공격범이 아프간 군 차량과 미군 주도 연합군을 공격해 2명의 아프간 민간인이 숨지고 2명의 외국군이 다쳤습니다.

Taleban insurgents in Afghanistan have abducted at least 18 South Koreans traveling in a chartered bus from the capital, Kabul, to southern Kandahar province.
A Taleban spokesman (Said Yousuf Ahmadi) told news agencies today (Friday) the group is holding 15 women and three men. The South Korean government says 22 people were kidnapped Thursday.
News reports say they hostages are Christian evangelists.
Elsewhere in the south today (Friday), a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of Afghan troops and soldiers from the U.S.-led coalition in Sangin town in Helmand province, killing two Afghan civilians and wounding two foreign soldiers.
Separately, six Aghan police officers died during an ambush by Taleban militants in Marja district, also in Helmand province.
